“We remember how many skeptics at the beginning of the journey convinced us as a customer and the Government of Russia that it was impossible to build a truly advanced fishing vessel in Russia, that shipyards had no experience and expertise. As we can see, they were all wrong. Thanks to the Admiralty Shipyards for proving the opposite for the third time in serial production. Thanks to the Government of Russia for believing in us and in this unprecedented project, we highly appreciate the support you provide to us and the shipyard,” said Savely Karpukhin, Deputy General Director for Strategy and Commercial Affairs of the RFC.
“As part of the first stage of the investment quota program, 18 vessels were built and handed over to customers. During the implementation of the second stage, it is planned to build about 60 more vessels for various purposes, as well as new production facilities and logistics complexes. In general, the mechanism will make it possible to upgrade the fleet of the North and the Far East by 80%. "Mechanic Sizov" is the third vessel in a series of ten similar ones. Such supertrawlers are equipped with advanced equipment and allow us to significantly increase the economic efficiency of fishing and strengthen our export potential,” said Oksana Lut, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture, the “godmother” of the Mechanik Sizov supertrawler.
