FSA presented projects for the development of the fishing industry at the “Russia” forum.
President of the Fishery Shipowners Association (FSA) Alexey Osintsev presented projects for the development of the fishing industry at the expert session “Agricultural Development: Achievements of the New Russia and Challenges of the Future” as part of the international exhibition and forum “Russia”.
The level of technological sovereignty is ensured through the renewal of the fleet and the construction of processing plants. Today, in the first stage of the investment quota mechanism, 21 vessels out of 105 planned were delivered to customers, and 25 factories were built. As part of the second stage, 26 new applications for the construction of vessels and factories are being selected; it is also planned to build 23 crab catchers and 3 logistics port complexes - as a result of investment auctions.
The commissioning of new capacities ensures the technological and food security of the country, the development of the consumer market in line with current world trends, and competitiveness in international markets by increasing the volume of highly processed products.
There has been an increase in the supply of fish products to the domestic market. It is expected that based on the results of summing up 2023, their volume will exceed the level of 2022 by no less than 10%. One of the incentives for increasing supplies to the Russian market is subsidizing the railway delivery of fish products from the Far East, primarily processed ones.
Among the areas significant for the industry, Alexey Osintsev also noted the possibility of targeted training of personnel for the industry as a result of changes to the education law initiated by the ASRF.
