FSA and the Fish Union signed an agreement on the development of the domestic fish market at the EEF
Within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum, the Fishery Shipowners Association (FSA) and the Fish Union signed a cooperation agreement to provide the Russian food market with high-quality domestic fish products of deep processing.
The document was signed by FSA President Alexei Osintsev and Chairman of the Fish Union Alexander Panin.
The parties will join forces in working with producers and processors in the country who are interested in developing the supply of domestic fish to the Russian food market. Joint work will be strengthened to promote initiatives aimed at developing the supply of fish to the domestic market through interaction with federal and regional authorities.
The development of fish consumption in Russia, providing the domestic market with high-quality fish products are among the state priorities. Our Association unites fishing companies that today invest in improving the efficiency of fishing, developing deep processing of catches in the country, expanding the range of fish products produced at coastal enterprises. But in addition to fishing companies, there are many important links in the supply chain - these are processors of consumer fish products, retail, and the catering system. The purpose of the agreement is to coordinate efforts to ensure consumer access to high-quality fish products.
Today, significant investments are being made in the development of the country's fishery complex, processing plants and fishing vessels are being built, and enterprises provide high rates of fish production. Our task is to make sure that this fish gets on the shelves and on the tables of our citizens at affordable prices and high quality. It is important, together with all stakeholders, to find concrete solutions on how to achieve this in the shortest possible time and in the long term.
