Alexander Moiseyev appointed President of the FSA
Alexander Moiseev has been appointed to the post of President of the Fishery Shipowners Association (FSA).
Alexander Moiseev has extensive experience in government bodies and large state-owned companies, including in the fields of fishing and shipbuilding. From 2000 to 2003, he served as First Deputy, and then Chairman of the State Fisheries Committee of the Russian Federation. From 2006 to 2008, he served as Deputy General Director of the Medium- and Small-Ton Shipbuilding Concern. Alexander Moiseev also worked in the Office of the Government of the Russian Federation, as Deputy Governor of the Novgorod and Irkutsk Regions, and as Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Urals Federal District. Before his appointment as President of the FSA, A. Moiseev worked in the defense industry.
The decision to appoint was made by the members of the FSA in connection with the expansion of the range of tasks facing the association, including in terms of monitoring and promoting changes in regulatory mechanisms affecting the fishing industry.
Alexey Osintsev, who previously held the post of President of the FSA, will focus on issues of regulation of fishing operations and navigation, veterinary legislation, international certification of fishing, increasing domestic consumption of fish products, as well as the operational activities of the association.
