Calculation of crab harvesting quotas distribution (changes in the TAC from August 16, 2024)

By order of the Ministry of Agriculture dated August 16, 2024, No. 475, changes were made to the total allowable catch (TAC) of aquatic bioresources. These changes entailed an adjustment to the volume of quotas distributed to companies for 2024, in tonnage.

The current volumes are fixed by the Order of the Russian Fisheries Agency dated August 20, 2024, No. 464 "On Amendments to the Appendices to the Order of the Federal Fisheries Agency dated December 18, 2023, No. 728".

The quota size of the largest quota holder in the Far East - "Russian Crab" - taking into account the adjustments is 18.3 thousand tons. In the North, the largest quota volume is held by NWFC. After adjusting the TAC, it amounted to 17.0 thousand tons.

Calculation of distribution of crab harvesting quotas among groups of quota-holding companies

**Quota-holding companies are grouped based on the SPARK-Interfax IS data indicating their membership in a particular group (affiliation of companies). Companies whose membership in any group has not been established are included in the “Others” line.
