Fish fillet production increased by 12.4%: 179.5 thousand tonnes versus 159.7 thousand tonnes a year earlier, including frozen fish fillets: 153.6 → 173 thousand tonnes (+12.7%); Dried, salted, or brine-baked fish fillets increased by almost 1.5 times (+44.5%, 1.8 → 2.6 thousand tons).
Fishmeal production increased to 115.7 from 106.2 thousand tons (+8.9%).
As a result of the product portfolio reallocation, minced meat production (including surimi) decreased by 26% from 93.2 thousand tons to 68.6 thousand tons.
The Far Eastern Federal District traditionally produced the bulk of fish products, accounting for 63% (1.5 million tons). It was followed by the Northwestern Federal District (578.7 thousand tons, 24%). Together, these two districts accounted for approximately 87% of Russia's total production of processed and canned fish, crustaceans, and mollusks, an increase of 1 percentage point compared to the previous month.
